Pre & Post Microdermabrasion/Hydrofacial guidelines

Pre/ Microdermabrasion/Hydrofacial or Peels 

  • Do not use Retin-A or other exfoliating creams prior to your treatment for a week 

  • Avoid sun tanning, tanning creams or sprays for at least a week before treatment
  • You must NOT have recently had laser surgery or used Accutane
  • Avoid Alcohol and Aspirin 

Post/ Microdermabrasion/ Hydrofacial or Peels 

  • Keep the new skin clean and moisturized

  • Anti-inflammatory creams or cold compresses may be used as necessary
  • Use gentle cleansers
  • Avoid the sun for a week after microdermabrasion treatment. UV rays can damage your skin which can slow down the recovery.
  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
  • Do not use glycolic, alpha hydroxy, beta hydroxy, retinol, benzyl peroxide or topical acne medications for a week following treatment.
  • Use cool water when cleansing face
